These days it seems all I do is dream of travel. My heart races at the thought of being able to freely roam again, whenever and wherever my heart desires. I’m sure I’m not the only one who scrolls AirBnb listings as part of their nightly survival routine. We do what we must to keep the travel dream alive! Today I’m making use of the countless hours I’ve spent scrolling through rental listings, and sharing my bucket list AirBnB homes to stay in during 2021. They say travel is one of the best ways to gain inspiration, and as I designer I can attest to that fact. AirBnb is special because, unlike a hotel, when I stay in a beautifully designed home, I’m able to gather inspiration for my own home. I study the way each space flows from room to room, the use of color, texture, and pattern, and the special comforts I hadn’t thought to add to add before. All of this gives me fresh perspective and inspiration to incorporate into my own home. But not only does the interior design aesthetic inspire me, so does exploring new parts of nature. Nature lends its own eye to design with different color pallets, the use of light and reflection, and simply offering the opportunity to let my mind wander and dream.I’ve compiled a list of 5 Design Savvy homes to rent in 2021. All of them incorporate some of my favorite aspects of interior style, light, bright, with a touch of modern, and also offer killer outside views! Last but not least, all of these homes adhere to stringent cleaning routines and have excellent user reviews, which lets be honest, are imperative whenever enjoying a home away from home!
